Cookie statement

Our website uses different types of cookies. We think it is important that you have control over your online privacy. That is why we would like to inform you as completely as possible about which cookies we use and for what purposes.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit the website. Information about your website visit is stored in these cookies. With the placement of cookies, personal data is processed. By using cookies, a website can recognize you on your next visit to the website. This can be useful, for example, if you do not want to log in again each time you visit the website.

Different types of cookies

We make a distinction between functional and non-functional cookies. We always place functional cookies. These are necessary for the website to work properly. For example, they ensure that you can remain logged in to the website whenever you wish. In addition to functional cookies, we also place standard analytical cookies. This is an example of a non-functional cookie. He is not necessary for the website to function properly. As a result, we know which website components are popular and where we can improve our website. Only when you agree with the placement of cookies, do we also place a number of other non-functional cookies. These all have different purposes, but allow us to improve our services. For example, we use cookies to display online surveys on our website, to test improvements on our website, to show social media buttons or to be able to display relevant advertisements for our services on other websites.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. These cookies are therefore placed by default and will not be deleted if you do not accept the cookies. Functional cookies ensure that you can remain logged in during your visit to the website. They also ensure that products are stored in your shopping basket when you want to buy something in our webshop.

Cookies to measure visitor

Analytical cookies enable us to measure the website visit. These statistics give us insight into how often our website is used, which information visitors are looking for and which pages are visited the most. As a result, we know which website components are popular and where we can improve our website. We continuously analyze and improve the website to make the experience as pleasant as possible for visitors. We cannot trace the statistics that we collect to people. This data is therefore always used anonymously. We use Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics to gain insights from the data. We always place the analytical cookies when you visit our website.

Analytical cookies collect among other things the following data:

- Tracking the number of visitors to our web pages.
- Keeping track of the duration of the visit.
- The searches made on the website.
- Information about your browser and device with which you visit our website, such as operating system and screen size.
- The way in which you came across our website, for example whether you clicked on one of our advertisements or a link in an e-mail.
- Some anonymous data that has been entered in a form, such as, for example, a type of car or which type of insurance coverage is chosen most frequently.
- Items that you have purchased or added to the shopping cart on the website.

We never provide the personal details you have entered (such as name, address, social security number, telephone number) to Adobe or Google. Read more about how we handle personal data in our privacy statement.

Cookies for social media integration

On our website we display videos and other content that you can promote and share via social networks via a button. For the functioning of these buttons, social media companies, such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google, place cookies so that they can recognize you when you are logged into that social network. They also collect data about the page that you share. For more information about the data that social media companies collect, we refer to the privacy statements of these companies. - Google Cookies to test improvements

We are constantly testing our website to give you the best user experience. We want to know if changes we make to the website are also improvements. That is why we often first implement improvements in an A / B test. For this we use Visual Website Optimizer. Visitors can see a modified version of the website at the same time. In this way we continuously optimize the website. Cookies are used to ensure that you see the correct version of a page and to be able to measure results.

Cookies for conducting research

We use Usabilla as a tool for conducting research on the website. That way you can always leave feedback on the website. We also ask on certain pages whether we have helped you well with that article. In addition, we also use an online survey in which we ask for your opinion about our website. We use this information to continuously improve our website. The cookie ensures that you do not see the survey frequently. The cookie also provides information about your operating system and the browser with which you visit the website.

To view how visitors use our website, we also use Hotjar. This tool registers mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling behavior of visitors on our website. Hotjar collects information about pages visited, the browser you use and the type of device and operating system used. We use this information to improve the website.

To monitor the performance of our website we use mPulse from SOASTA. This cookie is set to be able to measure the speed of our website in your browser. With this information we can detect and solve potential problems with the performance of our website on time.

In certain cases you can use a chat function to ask questions to 1 of our employees. We use Clickdesk for this. Clickdesk sets a cookie to know how long you have been on a page and perhaps could use help.

Cookies to display Bricks Twente advertisements on other websites

We use online advertisements to promote our services. We prefer to do this as focused as possible, to keep costs down and not to show you unnecessary advertisements. We use Google Adwords, Google Dynamic Remarketing, Facebook Custom Audiences (we do not share our customer base with Facebook), Microsoft Bing Ads and DoubleClick (from Google). This way we can advertise effectively and keep costs low.

These cookies make it possible to:

- Keep track of which advertisements you have already seen. This way we prevent you from seeing the same ads too often.
- Track how many visitors click on our ads.
- Track how many visitors purchase a service from us after they have clicked on an advertisement. This is necessary to be able to analyze the effectiveness of advertisements.
- Keep track of whether you have already purchased certain services from us. You will then not see unnecessary advertisements.

Even if you do not accept cookies, you can still come across advertisements from us online. Not all our ads use cookies. Cookies do make it possible to show you more relevant advertisements and not unnecessary advertisements.
