  • What is a landlord statement?

A landlord's statement is a document issued by the previous homeowner or managing agent, which must indicate that you as a tenant have always paid the rent on time and that there has been no further nuisance.

  • How much Deposit do I have to pay?

Usually the deposit is 1 x the monthly rent for bare or upholstered houses and 2 x the monthly rent for a furnished house.

  • Which taxes are borne by the tenant?

The moment a tenant registers with the municipality, the so-called 'user taxes' are for the account of the tenant. Examples of this are the waste and sewer charges.

  • Am I eligible for housing benefit?

Whether you are eligible for housing benefit depends on factors such as your age, income, basic rent and service costs. For more information, please refer to the website of the tax authorities; www.toeslagen.nl

  • Is it possible to request 'urgency'?

Unfortunately it is not possible to request 'urgency' for renting a house or apartment through us. The housing associations are the appropriate organization for this.

  • Do you have to pay registration fees or other costs?

Bricks Twente does not charge registration costs and certainly no other costs such as mediation costs or administration costs.

  • Why do I have to register via the website?

We strive to make the entire rental process as digital as possible.

  • Is the rent increased annually?

That depends on the owner of the house, but as a rule, a rent increase is implemented every year on 1 July. You will find more information in the rental agreement (Article 5).

  • Are pets allowed?

We understand that you want to take your loyal pet to your new home. However, it depends on the landlord and possibly the Home Owners Association whether this is allowed. As a rule, small pets are not a problem.
